We have had recent contact with Bill Norman, a British Aviation Author, who advised he is currently working through the war diary of an ex-Luftwaffe wireless operator who flew with 3./KG2 during 1943-44.  It turns out his diary documents the shooting down of a a Do217 over VIllaroche by a 'British' intruder.  Bill has since discovered that the intruder was D. M. Grant.  He has now obtained a copy of Grant's combat report for 13 April from the UK National Archives and sent this information, along with the relevant pages from the war diary of Unteroffizier Hubert Wuggenig, a wireless operator flying with 3./KG2.

This information and the documents have been added to Bitsy Grant's Honour Roll Page.

As a reminder, the current 400 Tactical Helicopter's hangar is named after Bitsy Grant.
