Jessiman, William Herkis, MiD - Flying Officer - Pilot (1944)

Flying Officer Jessiman (Serial # J10390) was from 
Fort William (nowThunder Bay), Ontario and was killed 3 January 1944 at age 28.   He was the son of James and Margaret Jessiman, of Vickers Heights, Ontario.

He is commemorated on Page 345 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance.   CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAGE

 F/O Jessiman was killed when his Mustang (#AP191) was shot down at CaenFrance during a cross-channel sweep. 
Note - Flying Officer Jessiman's brother Sgt. GEORGE HERKIS JESSIMAN - FLIGHT ENGINEER was killed in action over FrankfortGermany with  428 Squadron on 20 December 1943
