Cosoff, Joseph J. - Pilot Officer - Navigator (1944)

Pilot Officer Cosoff (Serial # 185455) was from Montreal, QC and was killed 20 February 1944 at age 25.  He was the son of Issac and Ida  Cosoff, of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.

He is commemorated on Page 280 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance.  CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAGE

P/O Cosoff was killed when Mosquito aircraft (MM277) endeavoured to overshoot after the initial approach to land and crashed on the airfield at RAF Station Odiham, HampshireEngland.  
F/L Alexander (pilot) and an RAF member of the ground crew, on the ground, were also killed.

This newspaper obituary incorrectly identified Pilot Offer Cosoff as a Warrant Officer.
